MELDORIA

A luminous gateway before a vast otherworld valley in warm gold light
For everyone who has started a journal, and stopped.

The journal that reveals your personal legend

You write a little, and something warm and intelligent notices you. A few lines about your day, by text or voice; a letter back in the morning. Keep going, and a world grows around it.

How it works

As you write, your story in Meldoria is revealed.

The Meldoria composer on a phone: a few typed lines about a stressful week, with a photo button, a microphone and a send arrow
I

Write a little.

Text or voice, whenever you feel like it. Attach a photo if you want. It takes seconds.

A morning letter on a phone: a hinged mirror standing in shallow water at the Sea of Sentara, the line about it, and the letter beginning underneath
II

A letter comes back.

In the morning, not instantly — and that’s the point. It reads across days, so it notices what a message-by-message reply never could.

The map of Meldoria on a phone: a painted coastline of mountains, forest and sea, with some named places lit and others still dark
III

Your world fills in.

Thirteen places, dark until your writing reaches them. Every letter leaves a relic behind in one.

Not a tracker. Not a chatbot. Not a blank page.

Nothing is keeping score

Open most journaling apps and something is already counting — a streak, a badge, your mood picked from five faces. That's habit tracking in a journal's clothes: one more thing to fail at. Meldoria counts nothing.

Nothing that just sits there

The ones that don't measure you don't answer you either — a prompt, an empty box, silence. That's why journaling stops. Here you are never writing into nothing.

No back-and-forth

A chatbot pulls you into a back-and-forth you didn't ask for. There is no reply box under the letter here, on purpose. That's the whole exchange.

Read, not measured

Nothing you write is scored, tagged or charted. It's read — closely enough to be answered, then made into something worth keeping. Everyone else measures the writing. We listen to it, honor it, and turn it into a legend.

Privacy & durability

Who can see this? What happens to what I write?

Who can see it

Your journal is private to you. We don't sell your writing, and we don't train models on it.

What happens to it

Your entries live on our own server. Writing your letter means sending them to AI providers through their APIs — that's how a letter gets written at all — and those calls don't train anything. Nothing becomes a chat history inside an AI account, the way it would if you journaled into a chatbot. We say so plainly because most of this category doesn't.

It's yours

Your inner world revealed as a mythic legend.

A shelf of collected relics in the app — a lantern staff, a hinged mirror and a bronze plummet, each named beneath it

Relics

An original image with every letter, kept on a shelf that fills as you write.

The Sea of Sentara at dusk — a lone figure on the shore of a still gold sea, one of the thirteen places of Meldoria

Chapters

Every Sunday, the arc of your week and a place in your world. Quiet weeks get one too.

None of this is here on day one. That's what makes it worth staying for.

A place page in Meldoria on a phone: the Sea of Sentara at dusk, a shelf headed My private letters, and beneath it a shelf headed Found by others
One of the thirteen places. Your letters above; what others found here, below.
Found by others

You're not walking this world alone.

Your writing never leaves you — the relic does. Every letter leaves one behind in a place: an object, a line about what was done with it, and what it was for. Nothing of the writing survives into it. Walk into a place and you find what other travelers left there.

No names. No profiles. Nothing to follow and nothing to like. Only the evidence that someone else has stood here.

You're early — and that's the point.

Meldoria is new. The world is thin on purpose and fills in as people write. The first to enter are its founding characters, and we'll remember who was here first.

Enter Meldoria.

You've seen the letters, the map, and what other people left behind. None of it existed until someone wrote a first line. Yours is the only part missing.
